*WELCOME VISITORS – We want to warmly welcome any visitors this morning and invite you to sign our visitor’s book in the narthex and also join us for coffee after worship.

 

*The first Sunday of each month is designated to collect Food Shelf donations of non-perishable foods or monetary donations. Donations will be received Sunday during offering. Thanks for your support of our Food Shelf!

 

 

*Sunday School ReminderThere is no Sunday school on December 6th. Classes will resume on the 13th as we practice for our Sunday school Christmas Program on December 20th.

 

*The Hat and Mitten tree is up! Mittens, gloves, hats, scarfs and socks can all be hung on there! Items donated will go to Fillmore Central, Fillmore County Foodshelf, SEMCAC and Open Hands Midway. Thanks for your generous support, all items are greatly appreciated!

 

*Cross+Generational Bell Choir – The cross+generational bell choir will be playing again on December 13th. Come and try it out – no experience needed!

 

*THANK YOU! Our most sincere thanks to Joe and Carol Gosi for purchasing our beautiful Christmas tree this year and to all the volunteers that helped decorate it and the rest of the church on December 1st.

 

*Congratulations to Christ Lutheran Church! Christ Lutheran’s Norwegian Christmas Buffet was voted Best Church Dinner in Bluff Country. WOW! Let’s keep up the good work. If you haven’t participated before, consider signing up in 2016 for fun and good fellowship.

Community Announcements

*Give Locally to the Salvation Army Kettles in Fillmore County  - The Salvation Army Red Kettle ringers will be out in Preston Friday, December 18th   9am-4pm at F&M Bank and from 4-8pm at Preston Foods. Please stop by the kettle and give what you can.  100% of all the money collected stays right here locally helping out your Fillmore County neighbors.  If you or your group would like to participate as bell ringers, schedules are being arranged.  To schedule a ½ hour shift please contact us at kates@fmcommunity.com or 765-3823. If you would like to donate but are not able to get to the Kettle, financial contributions can be dropped off or mailed to F&M Community Bank, PO Box 467, Preston, MN  55965. Checks should be made out to The Salvation Army.

 

*The First State Bank of Canton and Harmony are holding their Christmas Open House during the week of December 14th – 18th and they will be donating $1.00 to Christ Lutheran for every person who comes in from the congregation and signs their name. Please stop by for refreshments and to take part in this special event.
