*Please recycle your bulletins after worship. There is a basket on the table in the narthex for this.

*If you or someone you know is going to be in the hospital, please let the church office know.

*WELCOME VISITORS – We want to warmly welcome any visitors this morning and invite you to sign our visitor’s book in the narthex and also join us for coffee after worship.

*February is Youth Month!  The purpose of this designation is to highlight the youth of our congregation and to encourage them in their participation in the life of the church, and in their walk with Jesus. During February our youth will be providing leadership in our Sunday morning services.

*The Essential Question Challenge – On January 10th, we began The Essential Question Challenge - a journey through the book of Acts that builds on the question the Apostle Paul asked, “What shall I do, Lord?” (Acts 22:10). This 10-week Bible reading experience will help you see that God has a mission for all of his people. There will be five readings each week and a Sunday morning sermon on the main idea of those readings. There are also three small groups per week – Sundays at 10:20 a.m., Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Fridays at 7:00 p.m.  All groups meet at Christ Lutheran and discuss the weekly readings from Acts. Please join us. There are still some books available in the church office for $8.

*God Sightings - God is at work everywhere, but we often miss it, because we are not looking.  In an effort to help train our eyes to look for God's presence in the world around us, we are going to be setting aside time during Sunday morning worship to share 'God sightings.'   Everyone is encouraged to take a minute to write down one way they saw God during the week. There are sheets in each pew for you to use and turn in.  We hope that as we hear each other's 'God sightings,' it will become easier for us to recognize God's action in our lives and in the world around us.  You will find what you are looking for...so look for God.    (Jeremiah 29:13)

*Lenten Services at Christ Lutheran - For the five Wednesdays in Lent we will be having special evening services from 7:00 – 7:45 p.m., preceded by a soup/sandwich supper from 6:00 – 6:45 p.m., which is put together by our Confirmation youth. As we meet each Wednesday evening during Lent, we will have ‘blended’ worship services which will include songs, prayers, Scripture, hearing congregation members share some of their faith story, and discussing our weekly readings from the book of Acts.  We will also be trying something new this year by including a time of interactive prayer in our service.  Hope to see you all there!

*Confirmation Schedule during Lent - During Lent, our Confirmation schedule changes so that youth can join their families at the Lenten services. This will be the schedule for the five Wednesdays during Lent, from February 17 – March 16th6:00 – 6:15 p.m. – Soup Supper; 6:15 – 6:45 p.m. – The 7th and 8th graders engage in a table discussion with members of Christ Lutheran and the 9th graders and parents meet with Pastor Dan in the Heritage Room; 7:00 – 7:45 p.m. – Lenten service in the sanctuary

*Please mark your calendars for Sunday, February 28.  RENEW! 2016, a synod leadership retreat is set to take place from 2-4 5pm at Trinity Lutheran in Winona. The synod encourages at least four congregational members from every church attend. This year's focus is on "Nurturing a Culture of Healthy Leadership."  Registrations due by February 22nd. Register online at semnsynod.org or contact Pastor Dan if interested.

*Easter Plants – If you would like to order flowers for Easter, there are order forms available on the tables in the narthex and in the office. Deadline for ordering is February 29th.

*World Day of Prayer  - The World Day of Prayer service for 2016 will be held at Preston United Methodist Church on Friday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m. This is an ecumenical celebration of informed prayer and prayerful action. Rita Wilson and Joni Clement will be sharing with us about their trip to Cuba. Everyone is welcome to attend.

*New Members at Christ Lutheran - Are you interested in becoming a member of Christ Lutheran Church? If so, please contact Pastor Dan to set up a time to discuss joining our church. He will speak with you about the mission of the church and help you find ways to connect with others and use your gifts inside and outside our church building. Pastor Dan will also work with you to set up a few dates for new member classes which are a chance for new members to meet each other and build relationships. Finally, you are invited to join us on Sunday April 10th when we will officially welcome and install new members to Christ Lutheran.

*Thrivent Choice Dollars – So far in 2015, Christ Lutheran has received $2,429.00 in Choice Dollars grant funds. Our members have $6,230 in remaining available funds that need to be designated by March 31st. Please check if you have remaining dollars to designate.
