*If you or someone you know is going to be in the hospital, please let the church office know.

*The Evangelism Team at Christ Lutheran has been asking for addresses for our young members who are away at college or working in other places so that they can be added to the mailing list for the Ambassador and other mailings that might be of interest.  Please send the addresses to Amanda at the church office.  This is not only for college students but young adults working at a job, married with membership at Christ Lutheran, etc. Thank you!

*Creative Worship – During sermon time, our young people are invited to come to the narthex to color and draw and then to place their artwork in the offering plate afterwards. Their artistic gifts will then be sent out to members of our congregation and community as a reminder of God's love.  Because we will be providing extra materials for the children to use during worship, we appreciate any donations of new coloring books and crayons.  Thank you!

*The Annual Congregational Meeting will be held after worship on Sunday, November 15th. Please try and attend. Annual Reports are available in the narthex.

*Couple’s Fellowship - The Couple’s Fellowship group will meet Sunday night, November 15th from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Heritage Room. There will be a light supper and a time of fellowship! Sign-up in the church office or you can just show up.  All couples are welcome!

*Nursery – The Worship Team is looking for books, puzzles, and washable toys for our new nursery. If you have anything to donate, you can drop off items in the church office. Thank you.

*Men’s Fellowship  - Men’s Fellowship will meet on Thursday, November 19th at 8:30 a.m. in the Heritage Room. All men are welcome!

THANK YOU – Thanks to all of you who helped make Lefse this year for our Norwegian Buffet on December 6th. We made 107 dozen so we will have plenty to give to the gift shop as well!

*Ambassador deadline – Ambassador articles are due in the office by November 18th. Thank you!

*Tickets for Christ Lutheran’s Annual Norwegian Buffet are available for sale after Sunday worship and also in the church office during the week.

*Community Thanksgiving Service  - The annual Preston area Community Thanksgiving service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 22nd. This is a great way to join together with other churches in our community to worship the Lord in anticipation of Thanksgiving Day! All are welcome!

*Enjoy the Convenience of Electronic Giving. Christ Lutheran wants to remind you that we offer electronic giving as a way to automate your regular weekly offering. It offers convenience for individual congregation members and provides much-needed donation consistency for our congregation. As you contemplate future contributions, please consider electronic giving. Authorization forms and additional information are available from the church office.

*DO DAY –During November, Christ Lutheran Church Women will be collecting bath-size bars of soap, in their original wrappings, and bath-size towels.  A brand new bar of soap contributes to cleanliness and dignity.  These bars of soap are included in Baby Care and in Personal Care Kits, and the remainder are packed in cartons, and sent to Lutheran World Relief for distribution.  Dark colored, light or medium weight bath towels (about 27”x52”) are included in Personal Care Kits.  Both of these items can help national disaster victims and refugees maintain personal hygiene while living in places of safety or in exile.  Bring a bar of soap or a bath towel with you next Sunday, and put it in the tub in the narthex.  Put your faith into action! Thank you for your support.

*ELCA Good Gifts:  Check out the ELCA Good Gifts catalogs that are in the Narthex.   Shop the catalog for 50 different items that grow the church, fight hunger here and around the world and transform lives.  Use this as a teaching and sharing moment in your family. These make great gifts!

Please keep in your prayers…

*Turkey Day Run - On Thursday, November 26, 2015, the Unofficial Fillmore County Running Club will be hosting the 7th annual Fillmore County Turkey Day Run. This run/walk event starts at 8:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day morning, with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. The event is free to participants, but a donation to the Fillmore County Food Shelf will be collected from those who would like to contribute.  The 2014 event collected over 95 pounds of food for the local organization located in Preston. This is not a sanctioned race.  It is a fun run/walk starting in Lanesboro near Riverside on the Root and finishing at the Trail Head Inn in Preston.  And, the end of the 10.3 mile run/walk is always a surprise for the first person to find the finish line. Long-sleeved shirts will be for sale online prior to the event if you visit http://fillmorecountyjournal.com/submitturkeydayrun.php.  If you'd like to burn some calories before you consume some calories, this is a perfect event to kick-off your Turkey Day!
